Professionalism At Last!

We are relieved to say that Pendle Mist has now been placed on a professionally run Brokerage at last. Following the farcical manner of the previous broker, we were pleased when we met Dominic Miles who runs Ruby Boat Sales. He has various outreaches such as here at Overwater, where he lists many boats that are up for sale. This guy knows his boats, so much so, he owns an R.W.Davis Yarwoods working boat replica, similar to this one.http://rugbyboats.co.uk/boatpix/1131/index.html

When we originally contacted him regarding Pendle Mist, I explained without too much detail, what had happened previously. Instantly, he enquired "was it listed at Fettlers Wrath?". Funny how reputations travel along the towpath, all the way down south!

After a morning coffee and tales of the canal bank, we secured a place on the brokerage and Dominic went off to take some photo's of our little boat. This guy is about 6'3" and had to crouch a bit to navigate his way along the cabin. It's never bothered us Hobbits though! The boat is now on display in the broker's office window here at the marina, together with a slot on the Rugby Boats Sales web site. http://rugbyboats.co.uk/boatpix/1143/index.html

While it's on the brokerage, we don't pay any mooring fees for her! What a refreshing way to do business. Furthermore, the BW licence fee is suspended until the boat's sold! I hate to say this, being a northern lad, but the further down south you travel, the better they appear to do things. Could it be the fresher air, better food, or, just plain intelligence?
